Eminem, 50cent aso
Eminem,50 cent , DMX
What? Did either of you actually read the thread title?
As much as I like Eminem (and to a similar degree not like fiddlycent) I wouldn't dare suggest that he can actually sing.
You can't listen to and love music for 35 years and have a favourite singer. I do got a list, though...
Kate Bush
Brian Connolly
Sting
Prince
Billy-Joe-Green-Day
That guy from The Lighthouse Family (yeah cheesy songs but what a voice!)
Paul Young
Deborah Harry
Marc Bolan
Worth a mention:
Michael Jackson shoulda stuck with Quincy & Rod Temperton.
Kylie Minogue although I'm not sure if it's her voice or body that attracts me...
Agnetha & Annifrid
Posted by: Fruktis
phill collins
Posted by: Bucktoof
I agree with Chewie, rappers are a different category of artist.
I have lots of favourites, and it's different when I consider singing talent or the song itself.
I used to be a big Mariah Carey fan, and she can sing well, but I don't like her songs as much as I used to. It's interesting though to note for those that learn how to sing, she's a perfect example of a singer who doesn't warm up her voice enough since you can easily see she is losing the power in her voice at such a young age. Whitney Houston on the other hand is the exact opposite - gospel trained, knows how to warm up and protect her voice, that's why she still has it.
For songs and talent though, I like Chris Tomlin, Alex Lloyd, and Jack Johnson --> their voices fit their songs
