FPS, I thought the original killzone was alright. Timesplitters is made by the people who did goldeneye, and it's also kind of comical
RPG, I love Final Fantasy but that doesn't hold true for everyone. The Suikoden series is really good too

I'll take any FPS were I can bring up god mode and just go around killing everything in site, good guys, bad guys, and team mates alike, there all going to die.
What no Half-Life? It was the first real first person shooter I could actually play with out cursing and breaking my disks to pieces.
