yeah it should be ok. Why wouldn't it? Just make sure your firewalls are up and running. I have never turned off my cable modem since i bought it.

I've had my computer and connection on for three years straight. the only time it turns off is to reboot or a power outage.
there is no problem with letting your computer or connection stay on continuously.

Doing so would not "damage" your connection, but you may want to check with your ISP to see if they have any policies regarding bandwidth restrictions. If your ISP enforces such a policy, they may not be too happy with your constant use and may contact you telling you to tone down your usage. If you haven't received any complaints and/or are staying under the limits of your ISP (if they exist), you have nothing to worry about... except maybe your electric bill. :P

lol uptime about 26 days now. so i would say so but sometimes if you want to play some intense games restart helps.

It pays to re-synch your router every 3 days or so to maintain synch speed

not sure if I'm reading this right but if you didn't leave your broadband connection running overnight then you wouldn't be able to download overnight.

I think the question was meant whether it hurts you to download overnight

the most damage to a computer comes from when it boots up, leaving it on and your torrents open is the best way to share with limited bandwidth
