I am still trying to find the anti virus or killer for it, and will post details if poss.

ok, although i was under the impression that all good anti-virus software would detect a virus and terminate the installation. how did you detect it? was there some form of warning? or would it have went un-noticed as you had to perform a full system scan?

I am not sure, but does anyone remember if you can limit the file size for searches. Can't we set something in the settings to insure we do not even see files this small? I thought I used to know something like this, but maybe it was different program? Please reply if you know what I mean, not relly important to me, because the file size os one of the first things I look at before downloading, followed by the extension, and I mean I look way out, some of those bad files have extensions appended after quite a few spaces and such, found that out when I was a newbie to Kazaa and was downloading all of the BAD things I have outgrown now B) .

Always look at the filesize before you download something!

You could have know this wasn't what it was supposed to be.

:D Ok good old norton has sorted it, I just had to down load the latest files, had me worried for a bit (well more than a bit).

I guess because the file was so small it was on my pc in a flash.

Norton picked in up and flashed it up on screen, but I got to admit it scared the shit out of me when I started to read all the details that norton came up with, and then it told me as cool as you like that it did not have a fix for it, and that I should have a look at live update.

Anyway alls well and a lesson learnt (I hope) I am just glad I got norton, I only put it on a few weeks ago and have not been wearing any protection for some time now. :P
