The last few days I've noticed the loading was getting slower on the shoutbox, The refresh rate of the lounge at the mo with it off is very good.
I only have a small forum with a shoutbox,
it's set to delete shouts after 48hrs as I think it's just pointless keeping it in the database, and perhaps the refresh rate is too high as well rossco.
AdminZone has reports of heavy server loads...

I would say so, I'm glad I don't have to work on ya database,
must be a sod to optimize the post table.
my max is 50megs all 72 tables :lol:

Whole db is 3.6gb.
1.6gb on the nzb table, 1.3gb on the post table. Rest is scattered across 145 tables.

interesting stuff, this guy is stuck with an 11GB database with 40 Million rows!
I did not know that you can get disk-bound due to low Ram, it's an interest read.
