Absolutely Resident Evil 4. Gorgeous graphics, and more importantly awesome gameplay and controls. It resurrected the series by adding some wicked ai to the now 'smarter zombies.' Throw in some huge boss battles and this one was an instant classic.

what's sad for gamecube is that... while Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes is one of the best exclusive/original gamecube games, it's easily the worst Metal Gear Solid game.
okay, other games worth mentioning:

Animal Crossing
Pikmin
Chibi Robo
Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker
Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2
Phantasy Star Online Eps 1 & 2
Star Wars Rogue Squadron series
Harvest Moon series
it's a short list. i reckon you can count on yr fingers & toes how many GC-original/exclusive games are truly worth buying. disgraceful, to be honest. if i do end up shelling out 250 bucks for a Wii, i'd really hope it averages more than 3 good games per year.

That reminds me....I never got Twin Snakes. It shouldn't cost much now.
I recently got the Donkey Kong Bongo game for $10 (with the controller). My kid should love it.
I thought StarFox Adventures sucked.
