i gave it an 8. it was a decent film, but wasn't something i'd like to watch again. leo did an alright job and all, but it just felt like it was missing something. it's worth at least 1 watch.

The ending was the only mistake
The african dressed "uncomfortably in a suit, walks into an estranged star wars award approval of imperialist clapping hands to summize his life? wtf ? all he wanted was his family, him together with his family would be a better happy go lucky holly ending. The whole movie is about abuse and it ends happy?

I gave it an 8. I felt it was a powerful and well-done movie, but I think it was over-done in the Hollywood sense. I think something like African abuse should be conveyed by independent directors and not by those who just want to cash in on our bleeding hearts.

i give it a 6 or 7 ---it was alright to watch once. it really had a good message, but it was too much over the top drama. a little to long also, leo's ending was the worst.

10. it's a movie where you can learn new stuff. about conflict diamonds.. how they finance terror regimes. sad but true. diamonds are over-hyped and over-priced. but hey i bought one for my fiancee (hopefully not sourced from conflict zones). :D
