Using Anything Apart From Kazaa!

Hi Guys,
Having major problems! have 600k NTL broadband connection shared on a belkin router with built in firewall.
I can use kazaa with no problems but want to try other software such as e-mule etc.. However i cant connect with any other software because of the firewall. i have tried opening the relevant ports but am not sure if ive done this right. Any tips!!!

your best bet is to try the forums for the software u r trying to use, as u will probably get better quality help.
