Resident Evil: Extinction the last in the movie series?

While rumors of a fourth installment in the videogame-based series persist, a new official synopsis released today by Sony matter-of-factly states that the third movie in the franchise, Resident Evil: Extinction, will be the last.The studio refers to the flick as "the third and final installment" of Resident Evil, and goes on to give a breakdown of Extinction's action:
Alice (Milla Jovovich), now in hiding in the Nevada desert, once again joins forces with Carlos Olivera (Oded Fehr) and L.J. (Mike Epps), along with new survivors Claire (Ali Larter), K-Mart (Spencer Locke) and Nurse Betty (Ashanti) to try to eliminate the deadly virus that threatens to make every human being undead... and to seek justice. Since being captured by the Umbrella Corporation, Alice has been subjected to biogenic experimentation and becomes genetically altered, with super-human strengths, senses and dexterity. These skills, and more, will be needed if anyone is to remain alive.
The flick also stars Iain Glen, Chris Egan and Jason O'Mara. Russell Mulcahy directed from a script written by franchise producer Paul W.S. Anderson.

The movies have been watchable but they kinda sucked....especially the second one.
They should have been horror movies with action and not simply action movies.
Hell much of part one had no zombies in it.:dabs:

I would say that the movie looks fucking stupid but I'll simply ask why they even use the Resident Evil moniker?
It fucking stupid as a RE franchise but may be a good movie otherwise.

Hey call me stoopid but I like that type of movie , watched both many times with the kids . The girl defiantly needs a boob job , tho the garter and ripped nylons are a nice touch .
