Firewall

While perusing this section I saw a reply from Reality That said you could go here-http://localhost:1214 , to see how many files you were sharing.
All of that was fine, but it said "firewall=0".
I'm confused as I am running ZoneAlarm Pro.
Does this mean I'm not behind a firewall?
Should I change something?
Info, please...

maybe because your firewall is in stealth mode so it does not give itself away as a firewall has something to do with it.

or that you are allowing kazaa through the firewall.

Thanks 4Play, I will sleep better now.
ZA appears to be functioning- it claims it's blocked zillions of intrusions (as does PeerGuardian)- I was just slightly disconcerted by the Firewall=0 business.

Are you using PeerGuardian again? No problems?

Yeah, PG was reinstalled right after Black Friday.
No probs as yet, although I have to wonder how effective it really can be without daily updates for the IP blocklist. Oh well, as long as it isn't actively screwing up anything, I don't see the harm.

I paste the IP range updates into Sygate (a little easier to massage than ZA). PG takes a pretty good bite out of RAM, and, if I'm already running Sygate, why not let Sygate handle it? However, with all the proxy talk, I'd point out that RIAA (and its minions) can also use proxies, so it'll be a continuing chess match. Didn't want you to get any undeserved sleep, Clocker. :)

Just add it to your short list of legal expenses, Clocker.

Greetings to you, TIDE! :)
