Do you give your PC a name ?

Hi Guys
I have been into PCs since the mid 80's.
My brother always named his PC Eric (something to do with his budgie and Monty Python). I being a little older and more mature (?!), never did so.
But over the last few years my live-in partner and I have obtained a few more PC's. So instead of saying "hey Dear (I always call her that) I'm going to copy some files from the PC in the lounge to the one in the shed. I came up with the idea of naming them.
She is pretty good with that sort of thing, so as the one in the lounge was an old beige case and the one in the shed (mine) was a black case, she came up with the idea of calling them Ivory and Ebony. (After the McCartney/Wonder song).
I liked that and we have been able to talk about Ebony and Ivory over the last few years.
I recently built a new PC (our third one) and in keeping with our naming system I thought I better get a different colour case, so I bought a Thermaltake Aguilla case in Silver. (It loooks neat but has a few design faults).
So I came up with the name for it of Eldorado which struck me as being good for silver - eg the Spanish were always looking for silver and gold in the land of Eldorado.
So now we have 3 PC's
Ivory
Ebony
Eldorado.
Do you name your PC's ? and If so tell us your names, it could be fun ! (Piece of Shit is not allowed !)

C: Drive - Andromeda
E: Drive - Achilles
F: Drive - Pegasus

My laptop is called "lappy". My main PC is called "Skynet7", the "7" stands for the number of times I've reinstalled Windows since I moved in with Crabgirl (6 months ago...). Before I moved in with Crabgirl I named my computers with girl's names.

Having links in your signature to pictures of it might be construed as pretty obsessive.It's one thing to have pictures of my computer for having pride for something I made myself but it's another to start referring it a certain name. :rolleyes:

I named my little brother's partitions Primus, Unicron, Megatron and Optimus, when I set his computer up.
My currently visible (from windows, on this computer) partitions are called Omega, Psi, Chi, NADA, NIL, NIX and NULL.
My computers I just refer to as the shuttle, the laptop, and the imac. (And the 486, and the Amiga, but I don't really have the last two running.)
Guess why.

Squidward is my main/gaming box.
Hazard is the mATX comp I built inside a cardboard motherboard box. Called so because it shocked me once already (took the PSU out of its case so it would fit), and it will probably eventually catch fire.
Mediabox is my file server... not very creative, I know.

I worked on all the soccer parents computers , 11 or 12 can't remember but named them all " The Hawks " after our team and their passwords were their boys names . Worked like a charm and they got a kick out of it .

Yes, I give them names. My computers is named for that they do. Example, my server name is "Server", My HTPC "HTPC" and Workstation name is "Workstation. :) Kind of geeky :)
