Reputation Basics
Points can ONLY be given by members with invite access.
Reputation points given are ONLY positive points.
You can ONLY give each member ONE point.
You can ONLY give 5 points each day.
(this may be lowered later on)
Giving A Point To A Member
Give points to those you make productive trades with.
Points can be given to those who give valued invites.
Valued sites are Level 3 and above in the WIAW (http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/../bittorrent-invites-section/t-what-invites-worth-with-reviews-and-ratings-142446) thread.
DO NOT demand or request rep points when giving free invites.
It should be left to the member if they want to give rep points.
To give a member a point click the icon http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/../images/buttons/reputation.gif to the left of a post.

Fill in comments if you want and click "Add To Reputation".

To View Members Reputation
There will be a Trading Rep from +1 to +50 below member names.
For every +5 points a http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/../images/reputation/reputation_pos.gif will show below the Trading Rep.
(members without rep will not show anything.)
For details click members name and then "View Public Profile".

Then scroll to the bottom of their profile for details.

This rating is to give members more confidence when trading.

If you get messages to trade points copy and Report (http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/../newthread.php?do=newthread&f=72) them.
Those found abusing the Reputation system will have access
to the invites section REMOVED or be BANNED from the site.

No it isn't.
It's an indication that other members have successfully traded with them. Whether those trades later turn sour or the points were given by "shills" cannot be determined.
