Gmail Glitch?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I just checked my Gmail today and I noticed the most recent emails were on 11/13/06. It's like all emails since then have disappeared.

I checked it about 4 hours ago and it was fine with the last email that I sent myself being on Feb 22, 2007 at like 10:45.

Anyone else experiencing anything like this?

no problems here.

Man.. I'm getting kind of worried. I guess my best alternative is to find an email address and email google about the problem?

edit:: Problem solved.

Background -> This morning I was writing an email to myself with some bibliography notes so I could publish them later. So firefox ended up closing and asked me if I wanted to close my tabs.. and then it got to the gmail tab and asked if I should discard the changes or save the draft.

I tried to click save the draft, but it closed too fast.

Apparently, somehow Gmail decided to move all my email since 11/07/2006 to the trash. Some over 300+ messages.

My page view only lets me look at like 20 per page. There is no way that I (user) could have used the select all and selected over 300+ messages to move to the trash can... in less than about 1 and a half seconds during firefox's forced close...

But it's fixed now and the mystery still remains.

I'm glad you solved it. You could still report the mystery to google here (http://mail.google.com/support/bin/request.py) or here (http://www.google.com/support/bin/request.py), though I doubt they'll do anything about it...

in then future simply save as draft, instead of sending. easy way to keep notes
