Overnet Download Uncapping?

I have Overnet and am using it for the sole purpose of getting a game from ShareReactor and of course putting it in my KL shared folder for the KaZaA community because it is not yet there.
For those who are familiar with Overnet, is there a way to make the download go fast without pumping up the upload speed? You can get max 9kbps with 3kbps upload cap, etc. I like to keep it at Machine Limit for download and 6kbps for upload, or else things get shakey, the more upload speed, the more download speed, but also the more upload speed for my internet connection, the slower the download speed, so it end up slow no matter what. Is there a crack, or does anybody know a way, to keep upload at say 6kbps cap and have download go as fast as it can? If so, it will really help in my downloading of large files. Thanks :)
PS - I see in "pref.met" if i open it in a hex editor, there is some writing about maxdownspeed and maxupspeed but it makes no sense to me as I am not familiar with that sort of thing.

I think you would get a better support from an Overnet forum.
But if it's the same system as Emule then you need to set it to 10kb upload.
10kb and up will allow downloads to be uncapped.
Anything less and you get capped at 3x your upload setting.
Hope this helps you and that it's the same as Emule.

I didnt wanna go to Overnet forums because i thought perhaps doing so by using means of cracking the software (didnt know about the 10x upload) would be against the rules of overnet or something

You don't need to worry about asking questions. If people don't like what you ask they will tell you that's all.
Just ask what you need in a respectfull way and if they are rude back don't pay any attention to it.
I see a lot of people ask questions in a rude manner and the still get answered. People seem to even help people who are rude and pushy more than others.
I don't understand this fact but it's what I see. :unsure: :blink:

I had a high school teacher once say "when I treat you guys nice you walk all over me the only way to get you to behave is to treat you like dirt" or something to that affect. Lesson learned? People aint too particular about how they are talked too. Maybe in real life you let things go to avoid going to jail for whipping someones ass but on a message board you'll just get into a flame war and not answer someones questions. :D
