File Extension Problem

I have gotten files before that are xml's and jpgs, but are really supposed to be mp3's. How do I convert them. Say I download mp3's from a website, but thier format is in jpg or xml. How do I make that file an mp3.

Rename it.

that only works when the file has no extension at all. these all have an extension of .jpg

u have to go into "folder options" and uncheck the box that says "hide extensions for known file types"... i just downloaded that too :D :D ;) . its really good (and real)
