Question Bout Comp Freezing Need Help

ok every time my computer conects to the internet it freezes and i cant do anything cept restart it,it works fine untill i try and connect,anyone got any ideas what the problem is,obviously im not on it now lol

Try reinstalling the drivers for your phone modem[if you're on a dial up connection].
Uninstall and reinstall any ISP software you may be using. (i.e. AOL)
Simple enough though worth trying.

Can you be more specific? Is it just when you double-click your internet connection icon, or is it when you open IE or Kazaa or something else?

Is this for a 56k modem or what? What type?
What operating system are you running?
Have you contacted your ISP?

Have you run VERY recent antivirus software, Ad Aware/Spybot, SCANDISK, and Windows DISK CLEANUP lately?
