Accessing My Computer

I am concerned that when sharing files someone will access my computer and install virus or mess up my computer some other way. Is there anything i can do to prevent this from happening?!

Your shared folder appears read-only to other people.
This means they can only download, not make any changes to it.

I would almost say that appears to be a common fear upon people first entering the world of p2p

Common? More like Universal.. ;)

Too true i got paranoid as well. But with a good firewall, antivirus software and some common sense, its a great way of sharing. This is one reason i am beginning to like these UUhashes. At least i am one step closer to DL'ing more reliable and virus-free files.

Well at least you are concerned. Most of the time, I go to someone's house (a friend of a friend) to fix a compuer (usually for the payment of beer), and it's like these people have no earthly idea of virii and such, they just keep clicking, and downloading, and messing up the computer. Just about seems that they don't even care. My sister and mom are like that, just do do do, not bother to stop and take care of the little things... If I weren't around to tune up their vehicles either, they would have blown the engines already.

Wow, since when did they start putting time trials on zone alarms home? I don't ever remember that. Then again I've been running pro for a while.

On their site you can choose between the free version and a demo of Pro

AND if you download the free trial of the Pro version, just search for a keygen (something which generates your serial numbers) and there it is, a serial number for Zone Alarm Pro.
