Over the last 12 hours or so ive notice that some trackers have stopped working when seeding from my box. Oink and stmusic show up red on utorrent and tracker status says offline (timed out). Anyone else having this problem or know how to solve it? Also speeds are terrible, im only getting around 100kb/s at TL with 200 seeders :(

Posted by: Blade775

+1

very slow right now, and I also get the Offline(timed out) message.

Now its faster to seed from my home connection (150kb/s) :(

Posted by: ifkstab

same for me, I noticed it on oink and ST

Posted by: Loris

same here.. very slow on torrents and can barely get a decent speed when ftping off it..
not happy!

Posted by: DVito

Early this morning i couldn't access to my box. But two hours later it was accessible. And today i have an average upload speed of 2.5MB/s.

And for the past month, i've upload almost 4TB. So, i maybe the only one, but i'm still saying that leeware is more than good for its price ^^

Posted by: eminem

try to use Azureus

Posted by: Toufas

its a routing problem, pings seem to go to leaseweb, then they timeout.

Posted by: getol

just to let people know. they are having issues with cogent. they are working on the problem. it may be a few more hours until things clear up.

for the leeware boxes not going thru cogent, it may be working fine, but for others you might have to wait a little while.

Posted by: Toufas

i emailed lee with a tracert and a link to this thread.
hopefully we will get an answer.

Here's the mail I just got from Lee:

Please be advised since yesterday the datacenter has been having having major network issues. As a result I am unable to resolve most pending issues as I connect remotely. Please be patient -- I will resolve all pending issues once the network is stable again ETA is unknown.

Maybe we should stop our seeds:P Help him out:yup:

Posted by: 0110

me too

i got offline in oink and kg and sct :)

Posted by: Loris

mine seems to fixed now.. speeds are back to normal (thru ftp)

Posted by: 0110

but still offline with oink/sct

Posted by: DreamWorks

for me too ...
On ScT & FB ....

Posted by: getol

there is nothing lee from leeware can do at the moment. the datacenter, where his servers are located, suffered from a major dos attack. the data center lost around 20 gigabits of bandwidth from one of their upstream providers yesterday. hence, the crippled speeds everyone had yesterday. when they went back online, everything came back to normal. except from what i understand the ip range 85.17.*.* and a few others have been blocked for the time being. i'm sure they will take some security precaution before lifting the ban on those ip addresses.

i'm pretty sure ScT and the others mentioned in this thread are part of the 85.17.*.* range.

all you can do at this point is wait until they lift the ban.

you can do a tracert to verify what i'm talking about. shoot leeware an email with the tracert info and maybe the datacenter will see a demand to open the ip range sooner?

anyway, that's pretty much all i know at the moment.

Posted by: Loris

ahh that also explains why Bit-HDTV aint working.. also on 85.17.x.x range

Posted by: Omaster

Or he could just punch a couple holes in the class B ban for specific trackers, not like theres that many of them people care about, and obviously they're not the ones ddosing.

Posted by: mikechrobot

try to use Azureus

Azureus on 356MB RAM, you must be crazy

Posted by: maxrebo

Lee has no control over what address blocks the data center blocks or doesn't block. It's sort of unfortunate that the DDoS came from the Leaseweb datacenter, as thats where almost all of the good trackers are hosted.

Posted by: benchez

same prob here with at least 8 trackers...

Posted by: dieudesorcs

for information, my seedbox went down a couple of hours ago. I sent an email to Lee and is doing what is needed to prevent further problems :

Please be advised after receiving several complaints regarding of frozen and stuck
VMs - I discovered that the host servers are picking up IPv6 addresses which is changing the routing on the bridge this is causing the VMs to become unavailable. To correct this
situation I have to change the configuration of the host node to ignore those packets and I have to bounce it to get everything to work correctly again. Your VM will come
online shortly.

Posted by: KFlint

I know i did say bad things about leeware recently, it was just a time bad timing, i regitered the day the ddos attack began :frusty: I had to write to Leeware 3 times the first day to reboot

But now things run much more smothly and i'm beginning to enjoy this hosting, it can be really fast at some moments (i had 5,5 MBps yesterday :D )

Posted by: getol

okay, here's the latest info. the nullroute was lifted early this morning. however there are routing issues at leaseweb's end. so there is nothing leeware or the datacenter can do. so i guess we sit and wait until the routing issues are cleared at leaseweb's end?

btw, i don't have a leeware box. just a server at the same datacenter. so the info is straight from the datacenter.

Posted by: mikechrobot

so what, leeware servers are hosted in leaseweb datacenter in amsterdam?

Posted by: getol

no, leeware's datacenter is in chicago at fdcservers.

Posted by: mikechrobot

but why did getol talk about routing in leaseweb?

Posted by: KFlint

@mikechrobot

because we cannot connect with tracker hosted on leaseweb (many!)

Guess i'll have to keep buffering my revTT and TL then !

Posted by: metal maniac

Anybody have any idea how long this could possibly take?

Posted by: poopoohead

Come on, i'm waiting for you

:gunsmilie:tank::gunsmilie:tank::gunsmilie:tank::gunsmilie

:P
Thats funny as hell. Good one.

Is anyones still down? Going on 13hrs now.

Posted by: dieudesorcs

I've juste wake up, try to connect to my seedbox with putty : it's ok. I run vnc server, then utorrent and everything it's working.

After 5 min my torrents are at 5MB/s donw and 2.5

But still no connection to oink with leeware :-(

Posted by: poopoohead

Why the hell does it seem like I'm the only one that is still down. This is really pissin me off.

Apparently I am still the only one down.

Yes i know, but as i'm only a member of oink, i can't tell about the other ^^

Apparently I am still the only one down.
You can't acces it with putty? As the server has been rebooted, everything has been shutdown (vnc, web gui for utorrent...), so you've to run everything again. (If you already knew all that, i'm sorry for you, but if you're not familiar with all this, it's worth to tell it ^^)

Posted by: KFlint

My leeware VPS has been up for 2 days with great speed and no freeze or disconnect at all.

Have 220 gig uploaded in 72 hours of seeding, not bad for 20$ a month :D

Posted by: dieudesorcs

Yep, i've got 3,8TB in 25 days, so an average upload of 150 GB a day ^^

So it's worth the 20$ i think ^^

Posted by: mortalman

i get offline (Timed out) in then gen tab of utorrent
but here is the thing if i use a proxy link in utorrent to the following trackers mentioned above work but you will not be connectible in the tracker (just wanted to see if it would work and it did)i don't know if this is safe so i stopped doing it and just try to wait it out.

Posted by: Toufas

i got mine working again with all the trackers.

Posted by: dieudesorcs

Mine is working with oink

Posted by: DVito

yes, all leaseweb trackers now work with leeware.

Posted by: mortalman

working wohooooo

Posted by: redMonster

Yep, all trackers are working now.

Posted by: mortalman

I love leeware it is faster than home connection my record
is 8mbps dn 11mbps up no shit!!!!i average 5-6mbps dn 4-5mbps up
depending on torrent of coarse.Thinking of getting the dedicated
server 75 bucks a mo or the new gigabyte 1000/1000 shared vps

Posted by: mikechrobot

mortalman, who offers the 1000/1000 shared?

Posted by: KFlint

is leeware offering those plans or another compagny?

Posted by: mortalman

check leeware web site

Posted by: DVito

i don't see gigabit plans on leeware site

it doesnt matter
i like leeware the way it is now
i can get 10mbit either way anytime

it is much better, my home is only 4 mbit down/512kbps up for $50, so leeware is good deal

Posted by: getol

i don't see a gigabit plan either.
the only thing new he's offering is the new tz100, tz200, tz300 plans.
basically different os options and remote reboot/re-install options. the txz300 plan has 40 gigs instead of the 30 gig vps300 plan.

Posted by: KFlint

i just see the three plans, nothing else
