Got to be a dutchmen for sure but we have so many great players.
Johan Cruijff, Ruud Gullit, Marco van basten , Frank rijkaard, Abe Lenstra, faas wilkens, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Appie Happie, Clarence seedorf (only player with 4 CL cups with 4 different teams!) but i have a nose for great talen so i would go for Royston Drenthe!

I can't decide on just one, so maybe we should think about best keeper (Gordan Banks), defender (Paolo Maldini/Roberto Carlos, midfielder (Figo), attacker (Ronaldo of Brazil)

The thread is about your favourite football player, not your favourite ambassador for footie. Cantona was a magnificent player who appears to have been the catalyst for the change in Man United's fortunes. Manchester United being one of the best supported - if not the best supported - club in the world.
What's difficult to believe about people mentioning him when asked to name their favourite player.

I haven't seen a more elegant(almost aerodynamic) player than Zinedine Zidane.He can do absolutely anything with a football.
I guess there are different parameters by which one looks at to see who's the greatest. But by pure footballing skill and elegance,Zidane has to be the greatest ever.
