There should be an x on the top right hand side of the search name tag. Dump emule and get emule plus v.1e it's way better and more user friendly.

you can enable/disable it and/or clear the contents of it
at least you can with MorphXT mod :p

thats doesnt work in the latest version of emule (o.46a.)
amarjit what you need to do is locate the folder where you installed emule. then double click the folder called 'config'. nex look for the file 'AC_SearchStrings' then open it with wordpad. then just ctrl a and delete and save the file on exit.
restart emule to see the changes.
