Are there some internet places for direct music downloads?

Posted by: respect

Oink and filemp3, great music trackers

Posted by: Allexandar

OiNK,TT,BTMusic and Trancebooster!

You can find lots of music on RS,but you need acc!

Posted by: seeker

OINK ... king quality :D

Posted by: elan787

what is this oink?

Posted by: NsJ

what is this oink?

torrent tracker ;) (google for more information)

Posted by: huydini

oink is the best music torrent site hands down. P2P programs I use occasionally for single songs: limewire and soulseek

Posted by: Grind$oFine

No one's really answering your question...

But I don't really think there's much else you could do about lossless in a program like LimeWire... all of those programs are just run over by MP3 and the quality of MP3 is barely even decent so I highly doubt there'd be a good selection of lossless.

You've probably got your most helpful source already with bittorrent, but if you like FLAC you should try for Pedro's BTMusic, its a FLAC only tracker and it's possibly easier to seed on (although I don't have it and couldn't say that's a fact).

Good luck finding what you're looking for though. :)

Posted by: .Truth

Meh, downloading music is easy for me with Demonoid and uTorrent.

Posted by: Effer

Oink, Demonoid, IsoHunt, eMule.

anyone know of any site similar to like Bearshare? I WAS using bearshare ..but recently the last few days ..it wont connect. Dunno if its been shut down or not. I also do torrents for like albums and etc. but I really love applications like bearshare for finding like single songs or old songs I havent heard in a while and would never find them in torrents.

Posted by: dodz

Tend to use warez for albums, never had problems and always virus scan archives I download for everything I can. Limewire Pro for single tracks.

ClasshMamacita, try Limewire from limewire[dot]com. It's pretty good if you're vigilant about what you download.

I had an account there but it expired - Dam. It was funny, i went on the IRC to get an invite and one of the Mods gave me an invite as long as i used 'Steve Perry' as my ID. The mods were arguing about the band Journey and the lead Steve Perry. i could be worse, there were guys with ID's like 'Asscandy' and 'Buttmonkey'....lol.

I can't seem to get back on Indietorrents...double dam.

Plus the stuff being posted on usenet is really poor these days - really hard to pick up little known stuff!

meh!

I have found emule to be an invaluable resource when searching for albums in FLAC or other lossless formats. Downloads may be a little slow at times (I've hit ~250 KB/s), but I have found content there that I could not find on any private tracker. There are still a few groups dedicated to releasing material solely on this network.

Posted by: T.S.O.L.

i've just done an big overhaul and replaced everything under 192kb/s and under V3. I used STMusic, Kraytracker, and Libble for the bulk of the downloads, and used Waffles for the few rarer albums. Today's free leech also helped, but I announced at the time where they turned free leech off for like 30 seconds, so I still ended up lessening my ratio to almost 1, because the speeds wern't that great and the torrents took longer than the couple hours i was on free leech
