Re-encodeing A Dvd-rip,

How can I encode a dvd-rip or screaner, to a wider view, becuse all the films I download and got/watch are in widescrean format, I know this is how it was riped orignally, but how can I re-encode it so I can have it on my full 17" mutherfucker. Anyways? ;)

play it in BSPlayer
change aspect ratio to 4:3 and it should be full screen

When u encode it with tmpgenc just select fullscreen in the settings keep aspect ratio. But be aware that when u do that u will lose some quality in the film
