1.. Uninstall all off unnecessary programs
2. Download some regcleaner program my favorite is jv16 powertools and system mechanic
3. then uncheck all unnecessary programs
4. make regclean to your computer i'm sure that you registy have lots of garbage who is slowing your PC
5. If you have two HDD or tow particiption on your disc then remember on one HDD (particption) you can only have Windows and program on second all divx movies and mp3, wav etc
If you have this all in one disc you defragmatation level is going to crazy red and everything gonna be slow
6. Then use a defrag program like speed disk

1.Run Kazaa Lite++ instead of the immitation :P
2.Configure K++ for sharing AND speed.
3.Get TCP/IP Optimizer from www.speedguide.net and use 'extreme' speed settings B)
4.Do a Disk Cleanup (windows system too) once a week at least.
5.Download off fasttrack like mad!
6.Get a CD Burner if you don't already have one.
7.Start buying CD-r's in bulk... :D

Make your shared folder in other drive than Windows!!!

Dumb newbie question - How does KaZaa i(really I mean potential DLers) dentify the "shared folder?" IOW, must I move the entire KaZaa folder to the "D" drive, or, if I just move the Shared Folder over there, can the program find it for DLers?

You will have to set your download folder in your Kazaa-options. This folder is automatically shared then as well. To add additional folders goto Mykazaa->and click the folder icon with the downward arrow.

Also try Aldo's SpeedUp Processes (http://www.aldostools.com/speedup.html), it helps to make ONE program run faster. It helps to make the computer faster in the following ways:
1- Change the process priority, giving more CPU time to the desired program.
2- Low the process priority for required but not very important programs.
3- Kill processes running in background not really needed.
4- Free physical memory (force old cached memory go to the disk).
Tips: 1-3 can be done also using the Task Manager of Windows 2000/XP.
But the obvious way to make your computer run faster is: upgrade CPU + more RAM + get a faster disk + defrag often + DO NOT install programs that you don't use + Turn off your Antivirus...but expect your disk full of virus soon ;)

all this tweakingshit needs cpu like all other progs and games. U tweakfreaks should learn about windows instead and tweak it urself.
Then u really find the speed on ur own pc :D

Most tweakshit doesn't run all the time, just when u use it. So it only uses cpu and other resources for a few minutes while unused files and bad registry keys use resources all the time.
And it's impossible to remove those keys and reg keys yourselfs, it's just takes too much time.
So i say Keep tweaking that shit!
