Hiya,
as stated here (http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/f-everything-related-board-9/t-announcing-application-286825) I hope this won't be considered as spam :)
I've written a software called p300 (http://p300.eu) which you can use for filesharing in your LAN or VPN. It works serverless, supports all major OSes and has some nice features like WebDAV.
If you try it, make sure to tell me your opinion ;)

It has a GUI, yes.
You can do both, download a folder or download a file.

Nice proggie, but when I try to download a file from a search result I get a 400 error. However, I can download the file if I browse to the location.

I had the same error as well :pinch: maybe you could fix that?

Mhm. Does ist contain any special characters?
BTW: My fellow developer is currently re-implementing all the search stuff anyway. You will then be able to search from the UI and search multiple hosts at once..
And for some reason, it's kinda slow .. seems nice though :)

No special charachters in the file name nor the path.
2 more thoughts...
It would be nice if the user could change the listening port. Also, use how often does p300 re-index, or does it? It would be nice if it checked for updates every few hours, but the console output shows the initial indexing done yesterday.

Open your webinterface and there configuration. It should re-index every day. You can change that :)
