i've searched the whole help database but all the servers
give errors.
Ive heard big isp servers usually suck
should i see into giganews?

If you want the best with good retention you should go for Giganews. I've used them for over 2 years without any down time or problem that wasn't my ISP's fault.
Found this one from 2002 but it might still be the same (at least the name, not the IP):
Regular News server (NNTP) netnews.att.net 204.127.36.1 119
SSL News server (NNTP) inetnews.worldnet.att.net 204.127.161.11 563
