Light version doesn't have support for digital LCD or something like that. I'd look at my card cause mine is the normal one and tell you which but I dont feel like turning on the lights, getting up, looking in the back of the computer... etc. etc. etc. I could hurt myself.

no mines the best (way to damn expensive tho) oh yeah, while my gfx card is fucking fast as hell, i hate it with a passion, i wish i had the nex fx5900 ultra 256mb. of course id have to overclock the shit out of it.)
custom black refrigerated antec case. (air conditioning pipe going directly into side case panel, even temperature controller going into the air conditioner, plus a pipe with a fan inside sucking warm air out of top of case. keeps the pc extremely cool for how much everything is overclocked, around 30 for normal use, and around 40 max for temperature). plus room temperature is kept around 65 degrees farrenhight (yes i know speeled wrong). i have to wear a light jacket sometimes but its worth it for a fast as hell pc).

What the heck kinda multipler and FSB are you running to get 2.8 Mhz with a damn XP3000?
Sorry to say it, but I think your lying out your ass, can u post like a PCMark02 link so i can see those stats? You can easily doctor a CPUZ or system info image. Also, if u have personal pics of this dream setup, with 42 inch HD tv, and 5.5 speaker set plz post, because, well, lets just say im a skeptic. <_<
Oh and also, 1.5Megabit connection isnt that great...... Unless you meant 1.5 Megabyte, which would be overkill for gaming, because you really only need so much bandwidth when your playing online.....
Posted by: gamer
sorry i misstyped that, i meant 2.4ghz. the keys are to close together on the number pad. and i have such a fast connection for sharing purposes. sometimes peaple get a nice 250-300kb/s download off from me. and yes it cost a lot. (around 6-7 grand) i have neither a scanner nor digital camera to post pics either. i spent to much on the pc itself. i wanted it to last, so i made myself a case out of an antec case with 550watt truepower psu, then i overclocked everything the highest i could get it (except for the gfx card, i could prolly push anohter 50-60+ on the gpu, and another 90 or so on the memory for it). sorry that i dont have pics. if i had them i promiss i would post them. maybe one of my friends happens to have a camera and scanner, or a digital camera. i swear to god im not lying tho. ill post pics as soon as i can get ahold of some. peace guys
Posted by: _John_Lennon_
Oh, well then, 2.4 is easily doable. But isnt the HD tv a bit excessive? You could just spend several hundred on a nice large 21 or 23 inch CRT, for gaming. (LCD's arnt that great for gaming still, they have a bit more ways to come.)
Btw, it says that in your sig too, I would fix that.
Posted by: gamer
im thinking of lowering the multiplier, and rasing the fsb to 500. im not sure yet tho. i know i could push the speed up to around 2.5 with no problems tho. i just dont know how far i can push the memory without raising the latency. its currently at cas 2. and i fixed my info. and yes a 42" is excessive, but no reason for a moniter, and a tv when i can just use the tv for both.

No, the faster card will last longer without needing upgraded.
However, it's more economical to buy a £50 card now instead of the £120 card... you can later buy a better, newer £50 card which will be better than the original £120 card.

The most important part of a PC is the motherboard, as it defines which components and features the computer is capable of supporting.
Posted by: bigdawgfoxx
I would say the CPU is most important..other then the mobo of course lol..i think he means which part you put on ur mobo...the CPU is alot more exspensive to upgrade...and harder..RAM is very easy to upgrade...so if your buying a computer from a company i would say make sure u have a better processor other then ram..cuz you an always upgrade ram very easily.

How did you actually get it to the stock setting on the 2500? my Epox set it up right away at minimum setting, =1100Mhz So, its running at 2405 right now, I think.

Not sure what you mean by stock setting.? Anyway I purchased it from a guy who builds pc's. And I bought and installed that LG burner sweet. I made a DVDR copy of Lord of the rings and went to play it on my dvd player only to discover now I need a dvd player that plays DVDR. lol; what an industry dvd is.....(-o-).....
Just wondering what your multipler settings and FSB settings are, and why you set them to that.
Your setup sounds close to stock settings that are advertised, but thats the only way I know them, because it doesnt auto set to that speed for me.
