Magic Newsgroups?

Hi,
I am new user to newsgroups, and I was wondering what are the newsgroups available which have magic downloads? Or is the selection on torrents more?
Another question, do all downloads have to be in alt.binaries.* ?

Also, most groups begin with "alt.binaries" but not all.

Yep, I tried that, seems like there's not as many files compared to torrents.
