well i got a ps2 but my bro is going to take it to college... if i get a psx will i be able to burn the isos to cds and run it without the mod chip...

There is a way but is very risky, get a Mod chip!

Or try a PSX emulator for the PC. ePSXe works really well although your going to need to get the PSX BIOS files to get it to run.
