i believe points are given for almost every activity on the site, that means posting in forums, uploading, downloading, making requests and so on..
if you want to see how many points you have click on your username!

You get 5 for uploading or downloading a torrent. And 20 for filling a request. Not sure about anything else

Well, I don´t have even a clue about how it works, but I think you both are wrong.
I´ve never uploaded anything, I´ve never posted in forums, and of course I´ve not filled any request. I only downloaded 1 release and I´ve been seeding it for 2 or 3 months, and have 10 points.:unsure:

and I have over 200 snatches, but only have 40 points..

Wow, I didn't even know they had points. I got 88, which doesn't really buy much. But still, this is a nice addition to the site. Would be nice if there was an option to add gb's to your upload. These music sites need this kind of option the most.

Well they haven't given points retroactively yet so you haven't got any points for the things you did before they introduced the points system. But snatch/upload something now and you will get 5 points (or 20 for filling a request). I don't know about posting or seeding though
