Hi, Im gona get cable internet soon....can someone tell me a good rounter....price under 200 :P and i would like a router where i can control how much speed other people get thanks! :blink:

i got me a linksys router £45 in uk, 4 port, really good router, easy to setup.
as for controling speed, not sure if its possible?? but it could be done with net limiter on the pc

linksys is good and easy, i got my ports all configd, and best of all they are hardware firewalls (best thing u can get)

my dad is saying all this bs that i need 3 adapters on each pc and wires and a wireless router for the cable to be sent to all pcs and it will cost over 500 ... i thought we just need a router which is about 60 and wires which may cost 30-40 dollars

Linksys is a good choice.
For a wired network you need:
- The router
- a network card in each PC
- a cable for each PC
- a small patch cable between the router and the modem. (usually provided with the modem or router.)
