be careful with Frye's though...I know people who've bought parts, components, etc, from them that were
remanufactured, though not marked as such.

Are both of them between 100-150? Can u guys give me link to where to buy?

Look at running costs too (cartridge prices).

The C62 is currently selling for about £50 in UK, so about $75, and I can get cartridges (not epson originals) for about £4-5 each ($6-8). You will get better quality with the C82, about £85 ($125), cartridge prices are about the same, but each colour has it's own cartridge so running costs are slightly higher, but not much.

Compare that with HP printers, you will find that comparable printers are about the same price, but the cartridges cost a fortune, because the print head is part of the cartridge.

You can also get a small device to reset the chip on epson carts (cost about $25), which means you can refill your own carts, and that reduces running costs dramatically.

Edit: Look in this thread (http://www.klboard.ath.cx/index.php?showtopic=32388) for details of good hardware suppliers.

Really it depends. What type of computer do you have? A laptop? A desktop?

refurbished means someone has had it before and the factory has restored it back to near the original condition
it's basically second-hand but in very good condition

I wouldn't buy refurbished printer. New ones last 18-24 months maybe. How longs a refurbished printer going to last?
