Window Washer 5 Problem

This morning I installed Windows Washer 5, Build (5.0.0.1) Version. Which I downloaded from the FOSI website. It was different than the 4.8 version, so I looked through everything to get used to it. I checked which things I wanted washed, plugins etc. I ran it and it washed everything. Just to see how it did, I went and checked all the basic wash items. When I looked in the Temp Folder and the Recent Folder in the Windows Folder, there was stuff still in it.

Leftovers from installing Windows Washer was in Temp, and shortcuts to docs I opened were in the Recent Folder. I had everything check marked that I wanted washed, and it didnt delete everything. Is there something I did wrong? Should I upgrade to the 5.0.0.6 Build? Also it won't let me check mark My Paint shop pro plugin. I already had it installed, but the plugin is greyed and won't let me put a check mark by it. Can anyone help? Greatly appreciate it. :)

Yeah I did. Could that be the problem? Bleach is supposed to delete stuff, not leave it behind right?

No its good to add bleach, i am running windows washer 5 right now to see if it happens to me.

Which build are you using? Maybe that has something to do with it. Do you still see shortcuts in the recent folder too?

a bit off topic, but i didn't even know window washer 5 was out. thanks for the tip

Posted by: Agent Smith

I have the same one you have, 5.0.0.1

@Broken its not really out, its not out to the public. Just to those who know where to get is. (search google for fosi and you'll find it)

Posted by: Agent Smith

Ok i fixed it, you have to make a plugin to delete the stuff in the temp folder.

Posted by: Broken

What Plugin is that and do you get it at webroot.com? What about my stuff in the recent folder that didn't get deleted?

Switch to advanced mode, then click on Plug-in wizard. From there it pretty basic just click the folder you want it to clean. Then your done.

Opps! Sorry read that wrong. Yea I know you can make one. I made a custom one for Kazza Lite. But you shouldn't have to make one for the temp folder, cause its built in to delete that stuff. When I ran my washer, it only deleted part of the stuff in there. It makes me wonder what else it's leaving behind. <_<
