I am aware that any filesharing networks are full of nasty virusses but I better don't even start about "IRC" cause the list would be much longer plus I also better don't start about "how secure" the most irc servers are plus what kind of "kids" you trust if you connect - yes... I better don't even start :P

kazaa is full of virusses ! when you are on the right servers for xdcc you don't have virusses. :angry: :unsure:

ok, someone mentioned "you spammer!", ok I think you are unfortunately
just human, but to your statement: "virusfree":
I prefer using Norton while sharing and Norton works fine with updates :)
Any other Network than Kazaa - I tried out some networks - have not many
people. Kazaa has the most people after Audiogalaxy and is more or less fast.
I wish obviously Audiogalaxy back again!!!!

The network is sharing many viruses because LOTS of people (often who don't know much about computers) are inadvertently sharing viruses.
On the other hand, xDCC is a MUCH smaller network typically made up of very few users (but mostly more computer-literate) -- you often get a concentrated TYPE of file on xDCC pocket-networks but less generalized stuff.
However in either case, the only way to 'get a virus' off Kazaa or xDCC is to find it in a search/browse host, download it, and RUN it.
