Wooooooooohoooooooooooooo!!!!!

Posted by: Razz

100% yes then again i am the first person to vote
Looks likes FC's crying finally had an impact

A news section would mean that we could ALL easily keep up with all of the latest legal developments and what-not, this i think would be an invaluable tool for kazaa lite users :D

Posted by: Shinigami_[R.I.P.]

I agree with Razz.. we need one... so we can keep everything sorted... or at least try to keep things sorted...

lol @ FC: keep on celebrating LOL   :P

Posted by: El_Jefe

Just my personal opinion, the Filesharing Forum is intended for that purpose, already. Unless, the news is completely unrelated to filesharing in which case it goes in the lounge.

Posted by: FuNkY CaPrIcOrN

;) So it was a good Poll...a good idea?.....damn I'm good. :D

Posted by: pete3003uk

Yes I agree and when they post the news about RIAA FC can ignore the post :P

Posted by: mike kkm

yes we need a news section. although we already have a filesharing section so i guess it's kind of a news section too.

Posted by: FuNkY CaPrIcOrN

The MODS jobs are going to be harder....they will be moving 10 more post a day.

Posted by: El_Jefe

I suppose making recent news stories a sticky in the Filesharing section, and then dropping it when it's old, could be an option, but that won't stop people from posting the same stories over and over. It's just like the same questions and problems being posted over and over.

Yes, thats true.... some people just dont want to do a background check as they feel they'll get better and faster feedback if they just post it...

Posted by: Skweeky

It's a tie now....

I tihnk it's a good idea as long as it's a bit 'light', I mean, no financial bulletins or someting

Posted by: Shinigami_[R.I.P.]

WoW, it is a tie, but its not between Yes and No LOL  :D
and i agree with Skweeky too!

Posted by: FuNkY CaPrIcOrN

;) If I could vote again I would vote no....somebody vote no...make it a contest. :D

Posted by: Shinigami_[R.I.P.]

:D Its still 9-3-9... man doesnt anyone read and vote in here?!? besides us, the only ones who did :D  :P

Posted by: El_Jefe

I just want everybody to remember that just because everybody is in favor of something it may not neccessarily happen. Remember the pr0n poll?

Posted by: MagicNakor

Posted by: Shinigami_[R.I.P.]

I would like a Moderated News section so only relevant news will be posted.

We hear it everyday....the same news everyday.

It sounds like good idea, but it also sounds like another section the mods have to filter out and sort.

 yeah, that was when you where over at soulseek. Pew it was an easy job then

Are you trying to hint that your ready for a pay raise Jetje??

Posted by: jetje

btw a news section won't add much to what we already have IMO. What is news. News to me will sure differ as news to you.

NEWSFLASH "Kournikova virus detected on my system"

NEWSFLASH "TCPA and DRM granted"

NEWSFLASH "My dog is dead, he died of heaving a cardiac. You won't believe it is the fault of The RIAA."

NEWSFLASH "Anyone seen the 4kings already"

NEWSFLASH "I have bought your kazagold, but...."

I know this is all bulshit, but it is what i think we'll get in that section so i hope you get my point... B)

Posted by: Shinigami_[R.I.P.]

@jetje: i get what your saying, so looks like we keep filesharing and drop the news section... but at least FC got his poll LOL  :D

Posted by: Shinigami_[R.I.P.]

Looks like people really want that News Section though.... currently 14-5-13

Posted by: El_Jefe

How about some ideas for how to make it effectively different or distinct from the current situation with the Filesharing forum.

Posted by: tilen76

I wake up ... and what do I see? FCs Poll??!

Perhaps I should go back to bed, this must be just a dream.

News? No need for a new section, just some rules where certain news go. Politics in the Lounge, REAL Filesharing news in the Filesharing section, speculations about RIAA/MPAA shuting down Kazaa should get deleted unless posted by a member who's more than a Jr.Member.

But it's still early for me, so don't pay any attention to my thoughts. ;)

You could possibly have it so that only mods and admins can start new topics

I agree with Tilen on this. It just will be another section to "mispost"...... <_<

Posted by: Rat Faced

Yes....Its somewhere for the Newbies to tell us there RIAA stories and so on.

FC then can ignore the section and not be bugged....which makes all our lives easier :)

That would be nice, but a LOT more work for the Moderators I guess...

Um... Ok...

Posted by: SuperJude™

So.....where is that news section or is it called "Lounge"?

-SJ™

Posted by: Longdong

i think there should be but only relevant and important stories should be allowed, only started by moderators too!

Posted by: J'Pol

What type of news would be posted. Kazaa / file sharing related presumably. Doesn't that happen anyway. Can I vote who cares, just another forum.

I can't wait for the first "Where has the news gone" post in the Development Section. Or "Can someone tell me how to use news" in the Connection Problem section. Most of all who can wait for "My news seemed ok on the screen, but when I printed it was upside down".

We will get people arguing that, some news is in fact bad news, no matter what you say. Furthermore less is never more, no matter how you look at it.

Can I change my mind and vote no.

Cheers

JimF

PS

FC do you ever say I doooon't believe it.
