Ad-aware Plus 6.0 has been released to all the customers who have paid for their copy and will be sending out emails on how to receive it. Alot of people have been waiting for this program to be released since last year and it has been a long journey for the people at Lavasoft.

hm.. i have not tried spybot ever. but i got this from a fileportal site:
"Since that time newcomers like Spybot - Search and Destroy have taken over the top spot as the spyware removal program. Hopefully, now Lavasoft will get back in the game and continue to work on keeping Ad-aware updated and becoming the top rated spyware removal program again."
i think Ad-aware Professional will be the one of the best program..

yeah the reason you read this is because adaware had not been updated in so long because they were working on 6.0 but now they are back baby :D :D

You can´t get AdAware yet cause if you try to install it then it says that the product is not available until the beginning of february.

OK this may be a dumb question....
I have d/l from rocko's sig2dat. this file has a rar extension. How do I install this? I try to open file and I get a message unknown extension? Anyone tell me what to do with this? :(

I used www.k-lite.tk because I did not want to be kicked by kazap users with hogging on. I also felt it would help get the word out.

Hey do you guys got a inside connection?(LOL!) I tried downloading the file and it said it wouldnt be untill Feb.
Did you download it frome Kazaa or the Lavasoft site?
If you downloaded it from Kazaa its the old Ad-Aware and not the updated.
Which means the reference files are old and wont pick up any new or changed spyware.
Let me know wher you got it ,if it is version 6 please!

Thanks to oxymoron for increasing his bandwidth so I could spped up the d/l. I have the plus version in my shared folder as well. The only diff I have seen is the proc watch. This new version caught 11 pieces of crap in my system alot of them were from hotbar. I feel much safer now. :D

I still haven't tried ad-watch part of it ...is the pop up blocker any better than zone alarms ad blocking? Should I use them both? I looked at the list of sites they block looks pretty big.

Well, i'm not sure because i use AOL and havent had a pop-up blocker compatible with AOL since all the popups open inside the AOL browser now and not in I.E.

Yes we are... The basic freeware version is not even available yet on their web page. (It says it will be available February)
I am already running the 'Professional' and 'RegHance' (For educational purposes only).
I think I might just go and pay for this software. They deserve our support for making such a good product.

After reading this topic I've decided to buy it. But for those electing to pick it up via P2p I expect that it will spread like wildfire and be pretty commonly available soon.

Yes this new version can also pick up things spybot can't pick up, but still spybot can also pick up stuff ad-aware can't pick up.
