I have about 500 files that I am sharing, and I am looking for the best way to organize them in My Shared file to make it easy to find artists and songs for download. What do you guys do? Also, whay CD-burning utility do you use? Does any of this interfer with sharing?

Nope, organizing just helps you find your files easier... as for the user searching for them, doesnt hinder them at all i think... I use Nero Burning Rom at http://www.nero.com, or find it on Kazaa Lite, and had no problems with it at all... :D
Welcome! :D

I'm talking about organizing them for me. I want to organize my own MP3s so I can put on CDs.

Then organize them in alphabetical order or something and burn.... rename the file if you have to so it stays in the group...

i find the best way is to have the download directory, and a seperate folder for mp3's, and one for videos.
once downloaded, move the song into the folder (say) mp3>oasis>heathen chemistry
so organising by band, and album. i put these directories outside of the download one, and did a find media to share, and shared the root directories, mp3 and videos.
this means that everyone can still get them, but come to burn, it's much easier.

I'm doing it the same way first download to my download directory, (verify the file) Move it to diffrent HD's, in my case one for vid's one for music and put them in their correct folders, their all shared automaticly, both drives are shared, except stuff wich shouldn't be shared ofcourse :P

I rename all my mp3 by Artist - Title, then when I go into the folder it's all there and easy to find by artist & title

If you rename a file, doesn't that affect the hash?

oh right, i thought it changed it, such that if someone was searching for the file, you would show up as having a different file to the people from whom you dloaded it...interesting B)
