I think Partition Magic sux. Partition your hdd before installing windows.

I tried it Partition Magic once and everytime i restarted my pc it kept giving me an error saying that it has to check the file system of one of my partitions.

Just use fdisk or windows xp's partition setup

I think you may have been doing something wrong, or had some other problem.

PM has always worked flawlessly for me.

I had the same problem once.It actually made it so my comp would not boot so I had to install the wifes hard drive from he r comp into mine, format and install XP on hers and then format my first partition on my drive and reinstall.Just a big fat pain in the ass that was.
Every other time I have used PM I had no probs though.

wat do i do?????/ i want to save my files and redo ma com

PP,
Simple, really.
Create at least one more partition on your disk. Move all the files you wish to save into the new partition.
Then format/install your OS onto your C: drive.
