i recently installed emule, but i think i did the server thing wrong. Cause im downloading a file that has 232 sources with 0.02 kb/s.
What can I do?
What went wrong?

why dont you try asking this in a emule forum? ;)

What u can do is go to www.k-lite.tk go into the downloads section and download the newest version of k-lite 2.0.3 or 3, then after that take the installer and double click it, follow the instructions CAREFULLY! Then enjoy 'exellent' quality dowloads without the headach of e-mule :D

Well, you can use k++, but I think it depends on the users of emule.

It means 232 is the number of possible sources, NOT the number of sources you're downloading from. That number will fluctuate when parts of your download are complete, for emule can share partial files.

Also if you click(double click?) on the file all of the sources will scroll down the screen. You can look at them and see where you are in each users queue if you are interested :)
Give it time and you should see fast dl's if you have high speed net access.

Fuck emule and use kazaalite!

I use both at the same time with no problems. Sometimes it is faster to download off of e-mule, especially when a new screener comes out. Better for k-lite users to because I share what I get off of emule on k-lite. :D

Emule is slow at 1st cos its a credit based system. If you leave it running for a few hours you'll get decent speeds. Its still slower than kazaa, but its more reliable and theres *loads* of original stuff on it. You have to share though, otherwise you'll get nowhere fast.
You'll need to set it up correctly and read all of the FAQ over at www.emule-project.net.
This guide is also pretty cool
http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,515...pping~mode=flat (http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,5155390~root=poll,swapping~mode=flat)
Then head over to somewhere like www.sharereactor.com and enjoy ;)
I use kazaa for music and non-rare files. For new releases and rare stuff emule kicks ass, you just need a little patience.

Hell with Emule use overnet if you MUST use that type of thing, but itsa pain in the ass. Help yourself by downloading K-lite.

Use Emule only if have to, or if you already have high credit and get good speeds on there, I just turn on EMule to let my credit go up when im not downloading anything off KL...

I too go for the using both. I use a common directory for sharing files. As someone else said it gives you more options. I use this forum to get verified files for K++ and Sharereactor for eMule.
http://www.sharereactor.com/
I don't know how it works, but it's a similar system. Just click on the "link" and it starts downloading.
If this helps spread files between the two sharing systems that's great.
Cheers

Yea, sharereactor is a good site... and its good to rely on the two systems if you cant get what you want from one
P.S. i also use a common shared folder so both will be spread on Kazaa Lite faster

lol, I already use K++ 2.03. The point is that there are alot of files you just cannot get on fasttrack regardless of the client you use. If it werent for people using emule and kazaa together there would be very few new releases on fasttrack. e.g Two Towers was out on emule/edonkey for ages before it surfaced on fasttrack. When you take into account that there are very few leeches on emule, the fasttrack network can be much more of a "pain in the ass".
I dont understand the partisan attitude towards different networks.

Yea, thats why you have to have a sort of back up for everything... the purpose of the fasttrack network is to spread files fast, but those files cant be spread until it starts out somewhere else and gets put onto the fasttrack network... so have alternative sources unless your one patient person
