I always prefer the expensive one...

Posted by: Marius24

after reading some of the other posts from hardwareworld i am kinda confused (mainly from that ati vs nvidia poll) im gonna do more hunting in that site and see if i can find any others at around £100

Here's the official Specs for the Official Retail ATI Radeon 9600 pro card: http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduct.asp?...-102-276&DEPA=1 (http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduct.asp?description=14-102-276&DEPA=1)
Compare the specs of those 2 cards to this one.

btw the 9600 pro only has 4 pixel piplelines.. 9500 pro has 8 for some reason.. benchmark scores are higher on 9500 pro, but the price is also higher.. strange huh?

they ushally cost more cause of the brand.
Like.. Store#1's orange juice costs $3 more than Store#2. They both taste the same though.

it's true. compare a ford to a mercedes. theres a huge quality, speed, look, design, comfort, and everything difference. expensive is better, but cheaper is better, if u can find a good deal

notice that he's asking about a 9600 Pro vs a 9600 Non-Pro. rule of thumb = in the case of ATI, Pro's are better than non-Pro's.

This reminds me (and all of us) about AMD and Intel.
AMD is fast speed for a good price.
Intel is fastest for highest cost.

yet i still have an intel

You are wrong on that one. Sappiretech makes arguably the best ATI cards on the market. Go read the Xbitlabs.com articles.
