5.1 Sound Problems

I have 5.1 surround sound speakers and Sound Card system, with some movies, when 5.1 is enabled the sound is evry crackly and fuzzy, but when i enable 2.1 instead the sound is fine. Is there any way of making the films support 5.1 sound?

well, not really, if the movie isnt encoded to the sound type it wont work...sorry man, to re-encode u need the orginal source from the dvd
