this is from shareaza's web pages:

SHAREAZA 1.8 : Simply Outclassing The Rest
Some software is just classy. Shareaza is extremely classy. And Shareaza 1.8 is in a whole new class of its own - pure luxury P2P. The most important, most anticipated Shareaza version ever is finally here.
No expense has been spared in making Shareaza 1.8 the most powerful, most comprehensive and most user friendly peer to peer program in existence today. And it's still free - it won't sell out your privacy or tell you what you can and can't do with your own computer. Empowering file sharers is always the number one goal. You're the boss.
Add to that the Ultimate Library Organiser, Sleek Media Player, Private Chat Conversations, Video Previewing and much much more! We are proud to announce Shareaza version 1.8, without doubt the most important peer-to-peer software release yet. Over 150 new features and fixes have been added, making this version our most exciting and revolutionary ever. No other Gnutella or P2P file sharing client even comes close!

here is link (http://www.shareaza.com)... download and test it... maybe is for you maybe is not... just give a try :)

I've been a long time gnutella user... i would take it any day over kazaa. Why am i using kazaa? with fasttracks enormous userbase i have found that some rare files can only be obtained by accessing the fasttrack network. I dont use kazaa on a daily basis but keep my gnutella node up and winmx connected to a public domain content opennap server.
