Problem With Cs

Hello, i recently intsalled CS 1.6 from Steam. however when i enter a game over a server my keyboard does not work. my mouse works, i can aim and shoot and everything, yet i can not walk, or buy anything, or do anything that involves using the keyboard. outside the game my keyboard works fine. and i tried going into controls and saying restore defaults and everything, it just doesnt work. any info on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks

a setting for what each key is equal too... Hit control =shoot gun

Or go into controll options and set them to default
