Icons In An Ftp Server

ok this is a follow up to this thread icons (http://www.klboard.ath.cx/bb/index.php?act=ST&f=14&t=14180),
ive managed to change some icons on my desktop, not to what i wanted but they will do for now, but when i go into my server using an ftp client, the original folder is still there and not the new better looking one.
when i click to enter the folder there are 3 files in there which i presume are the files to make the new icon. theres a .ini, a .ico and a .dat file.
i use bulletftp server, and was just wondering if its at all possible to make bulletproof recognise the folder on my desktop and not use the default folder as it looks boring.
I must admit ive never seen this on any other ftp server and ive visited a few but i want to make it easier to navigate and make it more colourful. ftps are boring when you have lots of folders to go through.
i hope someone can help or am i just dreaming an imposible dream and its just not going to happen.

I don't really understand your question,
but you can give folders a different look by going to their properties when you right click them,
and assigning a new icon, this is only to change the look.
To assign the folder on your desktop instead of standard one used by bulletproof, go to preferences in bpftp

there isnt a preferences in bulletproof.
ok when you go into an ftp server using smartftp,ws-ftp pro, cute ftp. all you see are the same foldertypes just a green file folder for the icon, i just want to know if you can change it so users can see the new folder icon when browsing my files in bulletproof.

ok thats one of the icons i have on my desktop for downloads/movies folder but bullet doesnt show it as that it still shows it as the boring one.

I'm sorry, it has been a while since I used BPFTP but maybe these links might help.
http://www.bpftpserver.com/overview.php?he...header=overview (http://www.bpftpserver.com/overview.php?header=overview)
http://www.bpftpserver.com/manual/manual_e..._eng/index.html (http://www.bpftpserver.com/manual/manual_eng/index.html)
You might be able to change the looks of folders with the virtual directory option.

no problem oblivion, thanx for the links but ive already checked them and there is nothing on there that answers my question.
i would ask the makers of bulletproof but i got it off kazaa so id better not lol

I am thinking stoi that the icons would have to be assigned by the person entering your files on their end. For your sake, I hope I am wrong.

i think ftp clients by default represent icons as the standard windows ones, they must use a windows dll or something...ill look into it stoi
