ok i've downloaded shit loads of Anime cool i thought brill life couldnt get better!!!

before i installed any codecs my Wmedia playa 7.1 was playin 50% of avi files with audio and vision out of sync i got the new codec packs new players includin power dvd pro but to avail the files wont even play just sound and on the other players quick time windows playa all i get is few lines at the top of the screen??
my hardware is a sis530 intergrated sound and graphics with 188megs of memory runnin win98 altho i have an xp partition but i was having the same problem there
any help anyone could give would be greatly appreciated i'm gonna ape jus wanna kick back have a few bruskies and watch me some manga so please?!

Also you might want to try ffd show, After I installed some windows updates some files wouldn't play (just sound) I installed ffd show and it works fine again :)

hey thanks for the replies i'll give those a shot and i did get the same result with the bs player and also zoom player.
is there a retail pro package that has a pro player withh everything there??

i downloaded videolan the files seem to play with no lines but it does freeze about 5mins into the avi's couldnt get the download to work for fddshow so anyone with other links???
