Cd Audio Copying Problem

I am using Easy Cd Creator 5.3? (well its near enough up to date anyway)
I own a Brand New Plextor 48/24/48A
And a standard Soundblaster Card
When i created my first 2 cds for my wife (Rock music such as AC/DC,Rainbow etc..) the Audio CDs were fine...
However when i burnt off a copy of chart hits for a friends little girl the Audio Cd had a hissing sound on it in the background.... weird thing was it wasnt all the tracks that suffered from it....
I burnt the cd on 8 speed...
Has anyone got any ideas whats wrong ... i would really appreciate some help because my friends little girl has just got out of hospital and the CD would cheer her up
Thanks

The sound could be any number of things. I used Stomp RecordNow Max, until I got upgraded to Windows XP, and I highly recommend it. Now I burn CDs right from Windows Media Player.
