C&c Generals: Update Problem

[FONT=Times]I have the 185mb ripped version of generals. it works fine, but i want to update it. i can't get it to update because, to be cracked they had to change the game.dat file. if i had the original "game.dat" file, i think i would be able to update it. if anybody out there can help me find that file, or if you have a different solution, purrty plz help me out. TIA
p.s. wasn't sure where to post this kind of request. forgive me...

When I run the update for generals, it always gets to the "game.dat" file but says the it is not the original file. It got changed by the people that ripped the game.
I'm asking if anyone out there has the unmodified "game.dat" file from the original retail game. Or, if anybody knows of another way to get the game to update.

The rip won't update, you probably need the full iso's/bin's to update the file.

It is prob the cd crack that is creating the problem. Try going to gamecopyworld .com and find the updated no cd crack.

gamecopy world had the edited file that i already have. they have file forum that i'm going to check out. i might have to get the iso. but i still want to find the original file. that's the only file that the updater can't get passed.
