hello
I'm using cable (1,5 mb connection)
but my downloadspeed is usualy not great, mostly around 0,8 kb/s
with some of 7 kb/s and once a day it's about 40 kb/s for 5 minutes or less.
how can i get my speed up?
i've tried every thing (using k-lite k++ 2.4.2)
ayear ago i had speeds of 180 kb/s or something like that. i had a movie in, in about 3 hours and now it's taking me weeks or months.

1. Update K-Lite (2.4.3)
2. Use TCP/IP Optimizer (http://www.speedguide.net/downloads.php) or CableNut (http://www.student.ipfw.edu/~gottjl01/) to optimize your registry settings for cable internet broadband. Reboot for changes to take effect.

No.

tried it, but it didn't make any difference.
any other ideas?
maybe my router or firewall is the problem?

Is it only K-Lite that has slowed down? Or the internet in general?

I used TCP/IP Optimizer with my router and roughly doubled my max sustained download speeds from websites.
Also, if you're behind a router/on a LAN, use port-forwarding AND KaNAT.
Otherwise, you cannot download from ANYONE who is also on a router OR firewalled!

i did port forwarding and use kanat, but it did not work,at least not long.

You mean your system crashed?
Running KaNAT has little apparent effect unless you have searches unhide firewalled sources AND don't delete LAN ips from DAT files on exit -- and even then you may need to run KL++ for a day or 2 to notice any change...
