I am considering buying a motherboard, which I could get for a discount, but it requires an AMD Athlon XP chip. My question is, do the AMD Athlon XP chips have DRM BS implemented into them yet?

i gather your on about Digital Rights Management and not drum n bass :D no not yet as far as im aware but i think i read somewhere that they have signed up for it ;)
edit..... i just googled it googled :-) (http://www.geek.com/newsbeta2/geeknews/2002Sep/gee20020923016438.htm) but it is dated 2002 :D
