GUIDE: How to share your files on IRC:
First you need:
- Mirc (http://domania.us/LWN2003/Kazaalite/mirc612.exe)
Invision Download Sites Build 3515

PAtch to Upgrade

Install part:
- Install Mirc.
- Close Mirc and install Invision 3515
- Apply the Invision patch.
Setup part:
Setting up a server:
When you got connected to the server go to: Invision -> XDCC Server manager

Here you must configure your settings.
- Max sends Total depends on your upload speed.
- Ad Delay is the time between your list is ‘posted’ In the channel.
- Advertising Channel type: #moviesareus and click ‘ADD’
- Deselect 'All Channels'

When you click on the Tabs 1,2,3 etc. you can set the files you want to share.
Just click […] to select a file.

When your finished press ‘Apply’ and ‘Ok’
-Start Sharing:
Right Click on the main chat window -> Server Controls -> XDCC -> Verbose Ad -> Start
When you did this you will see that your shared files will show up in the chatwindow.

Newcster!! I would love to share on your channel, but I don't know how... Insight is needed very much. I can offer, every single SmallVille episode and I have deleted most of my movies, but I still have Underworld, and American Wedding. I also have Elf downloading right now from Suprnova. You should only have to type /mode #(channelname) -b (username here) to unban someone. (Only channel mods can do this.)

Go to the top of the forum page and click on "My Controls" next page down to the bottom left under "Personal Profile" click on "Edit Signature". Next Page under "Edit Signature" in the white box, paste this into it:

As you know I am still working out all the kinks about this new kazaaLite IRC Channel for you all. I have gone through one network already which was crappy and now might have to go through a second. Can't understand why they have these networks but no help when it comes to setting up a channel on them.
To make a long story short... i'm trying to locate info on acquiring some fast bot servers on my channel. To all who don't know what I am talking about. These bots I want to add are bots that have extremely fast upload speeds to users wanting movies. alas I can't seem to locate help on this matter. Until I do u will have to just deal with the users themselves sharing the movies.
AGAIN, this is still in the trial stages and may change networks several times more till I get one that is helpful and reliable. I will post any changes when it happens.

No, you misunderstand.
If you have YOUR room on the same server as the chat channel...but wholley seperate..
Well, there are a few of us with fserves up and running already...it'd be no big deal to lurke on your channel too, as ours are more informal.....no specific channel we're advertising in (and many not advertising at all) lol
If your on a different server, it increases the technical complications involved, and puts a lot of us off. :P

It could be quite a few reasons mate..how you have mirc setup,scripts,firewall...If you're tri with a proxy.
How are you tring to get there?
Tri this..Goto connection>server.Add this server"irc.deepirc.net"..press connect to server.If it connets,in the window,type"/list movieworld".See if theres any body there first.When i went there earlier there was only 2 ppl there.Just double click to join

I normally have a notice running stating that if you are behind a firewall, you might not be able to download from those serving. Open, or port forward, ports 1024-5000 to interact.
Alot of the times firewalls are the reason that you cannot connect to me. I am behind a firewall too, but have the ports forwarded, and if you are , but don't have those ports forwarded as well, it is impossible to connect to me.
Will there be any cut n paste links like on IRCSpy and so forth...
Of course, when the channel is up and running right...
If you go to Packetnews.com (http://www.packetnews.com/index.php?channel_id=910) you can see what is availiable, with cut and paste links. Unfortunatly the links are for the old network. We should have the new one registered as soon as we have enough users to do so. (Packetnews and IRCSpy require you to have at least 10 users, and at the moment there are only OP's in there. :D )

That is because we are only allowing people who serve to have a voice (+v). You'll just have to share huh? It's sort of a coaxing method to encourage people to share the goods. :D
After a week straight of serving you will get HalfOP status and after a month, you'll become an OP. Message an OP in the channel and we'll get you started. ;)

After installing new software & following guide I have got 1, a comp differant look to my Mirc(Due to Software) 2, when trying to add a film to a "pkt" it would only add 1 file ?? and to top it all I get this msg. Now "Unable to connect to server (Connection timed out)"

When you first start Invision you'll get just a page where all your scans are displayed. In the tect box try connecting with the command /server irc.digitalirc.net
Leave out the wolf part, thats how I got back on after that last boot.
When you get to the channel I'll help you get your packs listed.

I think its because "dothtml" is only allowed as a quicklinks like for KL hashes, thus only works in the Verified sections, thus they do not work in Sigs or elsewhere on the forum. I'll try to play with it and see what I can figure out though I imagine it can not be done in Sigs unless we were to use a URL type tg which would open a "http" web site, oh well...

So you want the latest movies software etc,etc then this is a good channel to get it, new to irc then google for a guide there are loads off them out there. the ops on the channel will also help you get set up. just follow the guide in the First post and hope to see you soon. :D

Just a suggestion...
I've noticed people in the channel have slow upload rates at 10KB and lower, perhaps if you are uploading with other programs you should use Netlimiter (http://www.netlimiter.com/index.php). I only allow 10KB/s on KL++ when I am in the channel and 5KB/s on eMule since its slow anyway. Serving at below 10KB is pointless it seems, or maybe its just me.

I seriously doubt that your banned from the channel, must just be that nick is banned from the network.

All the other info stays the same which you can get from step #2 by clicking the "Details" button to get all the other info like Submask, DNS Server, etc.

Once you have completed these steps click the "OK" button and exit out of your "Network Connections". By changing your last IP Address number to 1 higher or lower u can then start Invision 2.0 and connect to our Network and channel. The Network will not recognize you from before becuse your Ip is different now. But you must re-register that same name and Identify. Hopes this helps out a bit. If you are still having problems getting in let me know. here are some other Addresses you can connect to get to our channel also.

The admin of the network says that you need to open port 113 and turn on the Ident Server in mIRC.
Choose : Tools >> Options from the menu bar.

It should worrk..u should lose connection for a few seconds but then it should connect right back up using the new ip addy..the only time it wont is if you have a static ip. Others have done this and had no problems. They got right on..

Well guess I couldn't help since its static though if you are static it makes no sense unless they've Banned a range of IP's that you fall into, PM newscaster your IP perhaps and see if he can find out what the deal is since he cannot lift a ban he didn't create or dosen't know as to what to lift...

Invision 2.0 Sound Setup Guide
Ok first off, if you do not have a file named SoundFX2 in your mIRC folder you need to download it here:
SoundFX2 (http://www.angelfire.com/alt/damnatory/SoundFX2.exe)
Install the program to your mIRC folder. The default location for mIRC is C:\Program Files\mIRC There should now be two new folders in the mIRC folder:
SoundFX and Sounds.
Copy all of the .wav files from mIRC\SoundFX\SndFiles folder to the mIRC\Sounds folder.
After your finshed installing. Start Invision, and go to: Tools >> Options.

Now you want to make sure that each of the triggers to the left are set to initiate on text. So go down the line for all you the triggers to the left and click where it says On Text in the Trigger Type box.
Press Ok.
Now you should be able to use sounds in the chat window. Simply typing fart, you will have a sound of a guy that comes on and says: "I fart in your general direction!" Anyone who has theirs sound set up will be able to hear it. As long as everyone has that sound. So Share your sounds!!!
If you don't have a sound that is being played, you will get an error stating so. Look to see who is the one that played the sound (and the filename, they will be together) Then type !(username) (filename) such as the username is the person who played the sound, and the filename is the sound file desired. This will download the sound and place it in your sound folder. So now you can hear the sound if played again.
Ex: !Damnatory fart.wav

-Start Sharing:
Right Click on the main chat window -> Server Controls -> XDCC -> Verbose Ad -> Start
When you did this you will see that your shared files will show up in the chatwindow.
When I do this my, files aren't shown to me. I keep trying but nothing happens.

Did you add your movies to your xdcc server and then click the apply button and ok button? If you did and still cant get it to show, stop the xdcc and then rejoin the channel again then start it up. Ohh make sure that you have registered your username and then identify.

I did the whole register thing, but my files are still not showing(I did the whole restart mirc thing, but it still didn't work). Anything I did wrong?

:) well ive finally done it.ive managed to connect and search useing the invision.......thanks newcster.that will teach me to look at the instructions before trying to do anything myself...very well explained m8.easy when you no how...and it looks and sounds great.and ive even found what i was looking for. :)

Newscaster if you get a chance please add instructions on how those serving should setup priority so that other serving will have priority in Quene. This may also encourage others to serve as well...

Don't connect to a certain server. You need to connect to:
/server irc.DigitalIRC.net
That way if a certain server is down (or full) you will be bumped to the next available. Also if we all fill up on one server and get to the max amount on that server, it will start auto-dumping to make room...
If that doesn't do the trick, it's probably because there was some idiot attacking the servers last night. <_< SinfulAngel and the rest of the admins have got the problem in check, but may still be working out some kinks...

I am currently running mIRC 6.12 and NNS 3.79
can I install this into my current mIRC install, or will it interfere with NNS and I'd have to do a seperate install just for Invision?

I can't be quite sure, but I do believe they would conflict each other by being the same folder. Just to be safe I would just make another folder to install to.
