Speaking about the thanksgiving theme - If it is added then it shouldn't be the default. The reason is that AFAIK Thanksgiving is a tradition celebrated only in North America while this board is an international one.
If it is added though, then where the bloody hell was the Bonfire Night skin for us Brits? :D

Most outside the UK might know it as Guy Fawkes night, as in the Guy Fawkes who planned the botched plan of blowing the Houses of Parliament sky high a few centuries back. :)

Either way, it's unlikely we'll get any theme for at least the next few weeks due to the forum upgrade to IPB v1.3.
As it is literally days-old, no themes are at this moment around created specifically for v1.3. Many of the v1.2 (Final, though)-designed skins are compatible with IPB v1.3 with the aid of Invision's skin upgrader (available in the Admin CP ;)) but the effect of these is currently unconfirmed.
My advice - Wait until you see 1.3 skins popping up in say IBPlanet (http://www.ibplanet.com), then start asking for more themes ;)

i think we at least need a christmas theme, run it the same time as decorations should be up, 2 weeks before, till 2 weeks after christmas?

Short info:
Thanksgiving Theme doesn't work out at the moment as I am fixing the 1.3 bugs. Like I said before: We will have additional skins but not more than 5.
What we will have is:
Halloween Skin
Eastern Skin
Christmas Skin
Basic Skin
Additional Skin
It's not that I don't care but if I start to have skins for every single event then we would need like 200 skins because the internet is international and people will ask for national event skins.
If people want a skin they have to select it because I don't want to force anybody to see something they don't like.

what happened nwitht he halloween theme was that it was set as the default one, but there was the option to change back the the invision one.

One query though - I take it that 'Basic Skin' is the IPB Default and 'Additional Skin' is another. If so, will it be a board decision (i.e. Open to skin recommendations) or will the admin have the last laugh (so to speak ;))?
